Healthy Kids in the Willamette University Kitchen: Hands-On Cooking with Vibrant Fruits and Vegetables

Bon Appétit would like to invite Willamette University’s faculty and staff children in grades K-5 to the kitchen for a two hour workshop featuring activities in healthy eating and cooking. In this fun and interactive program, Chef Andre Uribe and the Bon Appétit culinary team will turn our café into a hands-on cooking class for kids, demonstrating how whole fruits and vegetables can be transformed into a healthy meal. You are welcome to accompany your child during the two-hour program, or you can leave him/her with us and use the time for your own productivity. If you choose to leave, we encourage you to join us for our “Healthy Kids Picnic” during the final 20 minutes of the program. By learning about the connection between what they eat and their ability to do what they enjoy, children will go home with a newfound power to make better choices for their health. This workshop is free but space is limited; please register here.
