Our staff are passionate about food and serving our guests in our community. We make our community a priority through partnering with our students on specialty evenings, creating menus based on student input every week, connecting with our local artisans, ranchers and farmers to bring seasonal ingredients to our café. We do this in a socially responsible manner for the betterment of our students and our community.
Goudy Commons features scratch cooking at its best. This unique café at the very center of our campus features a custom made-to-order deli, Willamette tortilla-wrap station, authentic taqueria, traditional grill (with a weekly fresh sheet featuring locally-inspired specials and grill classics), vibrant green salad bar with scratch-made dressings and bountiful local produce, and an ever-changing carving station featuring Traeger-roasted meats and delicious house-made composed salads and global side dishes. Not to be outshined by the wonderful offerings on the savory side, and we create a bevy of dessert specials from scratch each day.
Breakfast is the most important way to start your day. Visit our made-to-order grill with scratch pancakes, omelets made-to-order featuring cage-free eggs, seasonal fruit and local yogurt, house-made granola, freshly-baked pastries, parfaits, whole grain cereals and Starbucks coffee.
Our evening board meal transforms to an all-you-care-to-eat experience featuring hand-tossed Bauccio pizza, grill specials, scratch-made entrees, our salad bar and scratch-made soups and stews, vegan and vegetarian entrees and our house-made desserts.

Dining and Meal Plans
Dining Service Options
The on-campus dining program has been designed with flexibility to meet the unique needs of each student.
At Willamette University, we believe dining service plays an important role in the wellness and sense of community that makes our campus unique. Meals are prepared from scratch using fresh ingredients — all in a socially responsible manner that benefits our community, our guests and our environment.
Dining and Commuter Plans
Students select their Dining Plan when they sign their housing agreement the academic year. Students who already signed up for a dining plan, will have that plan moved over from the previous plan to a comparable plan. All students living in a residence hall have a dining plan. Willamette offers dining plans based on the number of meals, either per week (10-19 plans) or per semester (commuter plans), and assumes one meal per meal period. All plans include Dining Flex Dollars. Flex Dollars are a value placed on your student ID card that can be used like a declining balance. One point equals $1 in value. The 19-Meal Plan allows you to enter Goudy Commons during any meal period. You also may opt to use your lunch, Monday-Friday, meal equivalency at Blitz Market for the daily entrée.
We also offer commuter plans to non-residential students, upperclassmen, and graduate students. Commuter plans are also available to faculty, staff, and CST students. The two commuter options include either 40-meal or 25-meal block plans with $250 or $150 Flex Dollars, respectively. So, students can have any 40 or 25 meals per semester at any time in Goudy Commons or a lunch, Monday-Friday, at Blitz Market. Dining Flex Dollars can be spent at Goudy Commons, Blitz Market or Rick’s Café.
Eat Right — For You
Wellness
When it comes to wellness, Bon Appétit’s focus is on simple, delicious food — that happens to be good for you. To support long-term health, we are bringing more plants to menus every day in a craveable way, while emphasizing healthy cooking techniques. When healthy food tastes good, nourishing your body and mind becomes the easy choice.
Food Allergies
We serve thousands of guests with food allergies and sensitivities safely in our cafés every day. Our chefs, managers, and dietitians work closely with our food-allergic guests to create reasonable solutions to help them eat what they love. If you have questions about eating for your dietary needs in our cafés, reach out to us: we’ll gladly meet with you.
Sustainability
Wellness also includes the health of the animals, the workers, the community, and the Earth. They’re all connected. Bon Appétit has been committed to “food service for a sustainable future” for decades, and we’ve led the food service industry in tackling many important issues, such as cage-free eggs, antibiotics in animal production, and farmworker rights.
